You may like to take short day or two trips out on the boat and be based in the town with all its activity and interesting history....... or spend more time on the boat, wandering the islands, discovering hidden bays and small villages....... or swimming as and where it may appeal to you.......or spending a starlit night in a quiet anchorage...... You can plan ahead or wait and see and decide from day to day....... Every day whether afloat or ashore we will provide breakfast and a delicious light lunch. For the evening meal you will generally eat out at a local restautant, either in the City where there is a wide choice, or if on the boat then in a village, or a small restaurant in a more isolated bay. If we choose to anchor somewhere more remote then we will plan ahead and between us cook something on the boat. ON THE BOAT We look after you and the boat - with a lot of freedom for you to decide where you go and what you do. The sea is warm and clear and there is snorkelling equipment and a dingy to paddle about in. You may even see some dolphins! Imagine a week or two spent sailing with a very experienced skipper, exploring, swimming whenever you like, going walking across a new island or dozing in the shade when it's too hot. Warm evenings eating out at some small bar, maybe followed by a moonlit swim in a phosphorescent sea. If you have experience of sailing then you are welcome to join in with the running of the boat - if you have no experience so far then this is a chance to either just pick up a little or to get some really thorough instruction if that appeals to you. IN THE APARTMENT You have the freedom of this fascinating city: if you would enjoy meeting a few local people... or like to draw or paint... take some original photos of a much photographed city... take a walk around the walls... or a swim from the beach or the rocks - then all these are possible. Our apartment, which is on the second floor of an historic building, is light and spacious inside with several comfortable bedrooms, a modern luxury bathroom for guests, a kitchen/dining-room, and a view out over the bustling streets of Dubrovnik. Note that we may be able to offer some extra time staying in the apartment (without the option of sailing) at the normal Dubrovnik B&B rate of 50 euros per person per night. Please enquire. |
